स दीर्घबाहुर्दुढ्धन्वा महात्मा भिन्द्याद् गिरीन् संहरेत् सवलोकान् । अस्त्रे कृती निपुण: क्षिप्रहस्तो दिवि स्थित: सूर्य इवाभिभाति,“विशालबाहु, दृढ़ धनुर्धर, युद्धकुशल और हाथोंकी फुर्ती दिखानेवाले अस्त्रवेत्ता सात्यकि पर्वतोंको विदीर्ण कर सकते हैं और सम्पूर्ण लोकोंका संहार करनेमें समर्थ हैं। वे आकाशकमें विद्यमान सूर्यदेवकी भाँति प्रकाशित होते हैं इति श्रीमहाभारते उद्योगपर्वणि यानसंधिपर्वणि अर्जुनवाक्यनिवेदने अष्टचत्वारिंशो5ध्याय:
sa dīrghabāhur dṛḍhadhanvā mahātmā bhindyād girīn saṃharet savalokān | astre kṛtī nipuṇaḥ kṣiprahasto divi sthitaḥ sūrya ivābhibhāti ||
संजय म्हणाला—तो दीर्घबाहू, दृढधनुर्धर, महात्मा (सात्यकी) पर्वतही फोडू शकेल आणि लोकांसह संहार करण्यास समर्थ आहे। अस्त्रविद्येत कृतकर्म, निपुण व शीघ्रहस्त तो आकाशस्थ सूर्याप्रमाणे तेजस्वी भासतो।
