उद्योगपर्व — विदुरनीतिः (Adhyāya 37): आयुःक्षयहेतवः, नीतिसूत्राणि, बलभेदाः, पाण्डव-विग्रहदोषदर्शनम्
नित्यं सन्तः कुले जाता: पावकोपमतेजस:
nityaṁ santaḥ kule jātāḥ pāvakopama-tejasaḥ
विदुर म्हणतात—या कुळात नित्यच खरे सत्पुरुष जन्माला येतात, ज्यांचे तेज अग्नीप्रमाणे असते; म्हणजेच सदाचार व धर्मबळ हे योगायोग नसून परंपरेची पुनःपुन्हा प्रकट होणारी देणगी आहे—जी आजच्या निवडींना मार्गदर्शक ठरावी.
