द्यूतमेतत् पुराकल्पे दृष्टं वैरकरं नृणाम् । तस्माद् द्यूतं न सेवेत हास्यार्थमपि बुद्धिमान्
dyūtam etat purākalpe dṛṣṭaṁ vairakaraṁ nṛṇām | tasmād dyūtaṁ na seveta hāsyārtham api buddhimān ||
पूर्वकाळापासून हे जुगार मनुष्यमध्ये वैर निर्माण करणारे दिसून आले आहे; म्हणून बुद्धिमानाने हसण्याखेळण्याकरिताही जुगार करू नये.
