उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
आक्रोशपरिवादाभ्यां विहिंसन्त्यबुधा बुधान् । वक्ता पापमुपादत्ते क्षममाणो विमुच्यते
ākrośaparivādābhyāṃ vihiṃsanty abudhā budhān | vaktā pāpam upādatte kṣamamāṇo vimucyate ||
मूर्ख लोक शिवीगाळ व निंदेने विद्वानांना दुखावतात। शिवी देणारा पापाचा भागी होतो आणि क्षमा करणारा त्या पापातून मुक्त होतो।
