अध्याय २९ — वासुदेव–संजय संवादः
Karma, Varṇa-Dharma, and the Ethics of Governance
ये चैवान्ये कुरुमुख्या युवान: पुत्रा: पौत्रा भ्रातरश्वैव ये नः । यं यमेषां मन्यसे येन योग्यं तत् तत् प्रोच्यानामयं सूत वाच्या:
ye caivānye kurumukhyā yuvānaḥ putrāḥ pautrā bhrātaraś caiva ye naḥ | yaṃ yam eṣāṃ manyase yena yogyaṃ tat tat procya nāmayaṃ sūta vācyāḥ ||
युधिष्ठिर म्हणाला—संजय! यांच्याव्यतिरिक्त कुरुकुलातील जे इतर प्रमुख तरुण आहेत—जे आमचे पुत्र, पौत्र व बंधू समान आहेत—त्यांपैकी ज्याला ज्या प्रकारे संबोधणे योग्य वाटेल, त्याच्याशी तशीच भाषा कर. हे सूत! सर्वांना सांग की पांडव स्वस्थ व प्रसन्न आहेत।
