Sanjaya’s Counsel Toward Conciliation
ते वै धन्या यै: कृतं ज्ञातिकार्य ते वै पुत्रा: सुह्ददो बान्धवाश्व । उपक्रुष्टं जीवितं संत्यजेयु- रत: कुरूणां नियतो वैभव: स्यात्
te vai dhanyā yaiḥ kṛtaṃ jñātikāryaṃ te vai putrāḥ suhṛdo bāndhavāś ca | upakruṣṭaṃ jīvitaṃ saṃtyajeyur ataḥ kurūṇāṃ niyato vaibhavaḥ syāt ||
ज्यांनी आपल्या ज्ञातिजनांसाठी जे कर्तव्य होते ते पूर्ण केले, तेच खरे धन्य; तेच पुत्र, सुहृद आणि बंधू म्हणविण्यास योग्य. कौरवांनी निंद्य झालेले जीवन सोडावे; मग कुरुवंशाचे वैभव व अभ्युदय निश्चित होईल.
