अस्त्रैरेव महाबाहो चिकीर्षन्नधिकां क्रियाम् इसके पश्चात् प्रतापी परशुरामजीने मेरे ऊपर दिव्यास्त्रोंका प्रयोग आरम्भ किया; परंतु महाबाहो! मैंने उनसे भी अधिक पराक्रम प्रकट करनेकी इच्छा रखकर उन सब अस्त्रोंका दिव्यास्त्रोंद्ारा ही निवारण कर दिया

यानंतर, हे महाबाहो! प्रतापी परशुरामांनी माझ्यावर दिव्यास्त्रांचा प्रयोग सुरू केला. परंतु अधिक पराक्रम प्रकट करण्याच्या इच्छेने मी त्या सर्व अस्त्रांचे निवारण दिव्यास्त्रांनीच करून टाकले.
