Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
न तदा जातवान् भीष्म: क्षत्रियो वापि मद्विध: । पश्चाज्जातानि तेजांसि तृणेषु ज्वलितं त्वया
na tadā jātavān bhīṣmaḥ kṣatriyo vāpi madvidhaḥ | paścāj jātāni tejāṃsi tṛṇeṣu jvalitaṃ tvayā ||
त्या काळी ना भीष्म जन्मला होता, ना माझ्यासारखा दुसरा क्षत्रिय. खरे तेजस्वी वीर नंतर जन्मले; तू तर तृणासारख्या दुर्बलांतच आपली ज्वाला दाखवलीस.
