Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
न भयान्नाप्यनुक्रोशान्नार्थलो भान्न काम्यया । क्षात्रं धर्ममहं जह्यामिति मे व्रतमाहितम्
na bhayān nāpy anukrośān nārthalobhān na kāmyayā | kṣātraṃ dharmam ahaṃ jahyām iti me vratam āhitam ||
“ना भयामुळे, ना करुणेमुळे, ना धनलोभामुळे, ना कोणत्याही कामनेमुळे—मी क्षात्रधर्माचा त्याग करणार नाही; हे माझे दृढ व्रत आहे.”
