अम्बोपाख्याने तापसानां विचारः तथा होत्रवाहनस्य उपदेशः

अथवा पितरं मूढं यो मे5कार्षीत् स्वयंवरम् । मयायं स्वकृतो दोषो याहं भीष्मरथात् तदा
athavā pitaraṁ mūḍhaṁ yo me ’kārṣīt svayaṁvaram | mayāyaṁ svakṛto doṣo yāhaṁ bhīṣmarathāt tadā
किंवा माझ्या त्या मूढ पित्याला मला रोखायला हवे होते, ज्याने माझ्यासाठी स्वयंवर घडविला. हा दोष माझाच आहे—मी, भीष्म, त्या वेळी रथावरून असे वागलो की हा अन्याय घडून आला.
