Ulūka’s Provocation and Keśava’s Counter-Message (उलूकदूत्ये केशवप्रत्युत्तरम्)

किं नु युद्धात्‌ परं लाभ क्षत्रियो बहु मन्यते । किं च त्वं क्षत्रियकुले जात: सम्प्रथितो भुवि,“भला, क्षत्रिय युद्धसे बढ़कर दूसरे किस लाभको महत्त्व देता है? इसके सिवा, तुमने भी तो क्षत्रियकुलमें उत्पन्न होकर इस पृथ्वीपर बड़ी ख्याति प्राप्त की है

kiṁ nu yuddhāt paraṁ lābhaṁ kṣatriyo bahu manyate | kiṁ ca tvaṁ kṣatriyakule jātaḥ samprathito bhuvi |

संजय म्हणाला—युद्धापेक्षा मोठा लाभ क्षत्रिय आणखी कोणता मानतो? आणि शिवाय, तूही क्षत्रियकुळात जन्मून या पृथ्वीवर मोठी कीर्ती मिळवली आहेस.
