मोहानुवर्ती सतत पापो द्वेष्टि च पाण्डवान् | “परंतु यह एकमात्र मिथ्यादर्शी कर्ण मोहवश सदा दुर्बुद्धि दुर्योधनका ही अनुसरण करनेवाला है। इसीलिये यह पापात्मा सर्वदा पाण्डवोंसे द्वेष ही रखता है
mohānuvartī satataṁ pāpo dveṣṭi ca pāṇḍavān |
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—मोहाच्या अधीन झालेला तो पापात्मा कर्ण सतत दुर्बुद्धी दुर्योधनाचाच पाठपुरावा करतो; म्हणून तो पांडवांशी नेहमीच द्वेष ठेवतो.
