(Karṇa–Kṛṣṇa-saṃvādaḥ) — Karṇa’s Statement on Lineage, Loyalty, and the ‘Śastra-yajña’ Metaphor
rājāno rājaputrāś ca pāṇḍavārthe samāgatāḥ | pādau tava grahīṣyanti sarve cāndhaka-vṛṣṇayaḥ ||
The verse frames political support as a moral choice: those who gather for the Pāṇḍavas’ cause express humility and recognition of rightful dharma by the symbolic act of taking someone’s feet, indicating allegiance grounded in ethical judgment rather than mere power.
Vāyu foretells or declares that many rulers and the Andhaka–Vṛṣṇi warriors, having come to aid the Pāṇḍavas, will show deep respect and submission—signaling a broad coalition forming around the Pāṇḍavas in the lead-up to the great conflict.
