यावदाख्याम्यहं चैतत् कृष्णायाक्लिष्टकारिणे । “तबतक मैं अनायास ही महान् कर्म करनेवाले भगवान् श्रीकृष्णको कौरवोंके षड़यन्त्रकी सूचना दिये देता हूँ।' स प्रविश्य सभां वीर: सिंहो गिरिगुहामिव
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: yāvad ākhyāmy ahaṃ caitat kṛṣṇāyākliṣṭa-kāriṇe | “tāvat aham anāyāsena mahān karma karoti bhagavate śrī-kṛṣṇāya kauravāṇāṃ ṣaḍyantrasya sūcanāṃ dadāmi” | sa praviśya sabhāṃ vīraḥ siṃho giri-guhām iva ||
“हे सर्व सांगून होईपर्यंत मी अनायास महान् कर्म करणाऱ्या श्रीकृष्णाला कौरवांच्या कटाची वार्ता देतो.” असा निश्चय करून तो वीर सभेत प्रविष्ट झाला—जणू सिंह पर्वतगुहेत शिरावा तसा।
