तान्‌ बद्ध्वा धर्मपाशैश्न स्वैश्व पाशैर्जलेश्वर: । वरुण: सागरे यत्तो नित्यं रक्षति दानवान्‌

tān baddhvā dharmapāśaiś ca svaiś ca pāśair jaleśvaraḥ | varuṇaḥ sāgare yatto nityaṃ rakṣati dānavān ||

तेव्हापासून जलाधीश्वर वरुण धर्मपाशांनी व आपल्या वारुणपाशांनी त्यांना बांधून, सदैव सावध राहून, त्या दानवांना सागराच्या मर्यादेतच नित्य रोखून धरतो.
