श्रुतवृत्तोपसम्पन्न: सर्वे: समुदितो गुणै: । “तुम परम ज्ञानी महापुरुषोंके कुलमें उत्पन्न हुए हो। स्वयं भी शास्त्रोंके ज्ञान तथा सद्व्यवहारसे सम्पन्न हो। तुममें सभी उत्तम गुण विद्यमान हैं; अतः तुम्हें मेरी यह अच्छी सलाह अवश्य माननी चाहिये

वैशंपायन म्हणाले—तू श्रुतज्ञान व सद्वर्तनाने संपन्न असून सर्व गुणांनी परिपूर्ण आहेस. महर्षींच्या कुलात जन्म घेऊनही तू स्वतः शास्त्रज्ञान व योग्य आचरणात सिद्ध आहेस; म्हणून माझा हा हितकारी उत्तम सल्ला निश्चयाने स्वीकार.
