यो5सत्सेवी वृथाचारो न श्रोता सुह्ृदां सताम् । परान् वृणीते स्वान् द्वेष्टि तं गौसत्यजति भारत,“भारत! जो दुष्ट पुरुषोंका संग करनेवाला और मिथ्याचारी होकर अपने श्रेष्ठ सुहृदोंकी बात नहीं सुनता है, दूसरोंको अपनाता और आत्मीयजनोंसे द्वेष रखता है, उसे यह पृथ्वी त्याग देती है
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
yo 'sat-sevī vṛthācāro na śrotā suhṛdāṃ satām |
parān vṛṇīte svān dveṣṭi taṃ gauḥ satyajati bhārata ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले— हे भारत! जो दुष्टांचा संग करतो, मिथ्या आचरण करतो आणि सज्जन सुहृदांचा उपदेश ऐकत नाही—जो आपल्यांना द्वेष करतो व परक्यांना जवळ करतो—अशा पुरुषाला ही पृथ्वी स्वतःच त्यागते।
