धामा नाम महात्मानो मुनय: सत्यवादिन: । न तेषां ज्ञायते मूर्तिनाकृतिर्न तपश्चितम्
dhāmā nāma mahātmāno munayaḥ satyavādinaḥ | na teṣāṃ jñāyate mūrtir nākṛtir na tapaś citam ||
युपर्ण म्हणाला—“धामा नावाचे महात्मा मुनी सत्यवादी आहेत; परंतु त्यांची मूर्ती, आकृती आणि तपश्चर्येची दृश्य चिन्हे कोणालाही ज्ञात नाहीत.”
युपर्ण उवाच
True spiritual stature is grounded in सत्य (truthfulness) and inner discipline; it may not be recognizable through outward form, appearance, or visible signs of austerity.
Yuparṇa describes a class of truth-speaking sages called the Dhāmās and emphasizes that their physical form and the external marks of their tapas are not readily known or perceived.
