भुक्तवत्सु द्विजेन्द्रेष यथावत्‌ सम्प्रदापयेत्‌ । वाचकं भरतश्रेष्ठ भोजयित्वा स्वलंकृतम्‌

Transliteration

bhuktavatsu dvijendreṣu yathāvat sampradāpayet | vācakaṃ bharataśreṣṭha bhojayitvā svalakṛtam, bharatabhūṣaṇa |

Translation

वैशंपायन म्हणाले—श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणांनी भोजन करून झाल्यावर त्यांना विधिपूर्वक यथोचित दान द्यावे. मग, हे भरतश्रेष्ठ, वस्त्राभूषणांनी अलंकृत अशा कथावाचकाचा सन्मान करून त्याला उत्तम अन्नाने भोजन घालावे; आणि नंतर दान-मान देऊन त्याला संतुष्ट करणे योग्य आहे.
