स्वस्ति वाच्य द्विजानादौ ततः कार्ये प्रवर्तिते । समाप्ते पर्वणि ततः स्वशकक््त्या पूजयेद् द्विजान्
svasti vācya dvijān ādau tataḥ kārye pravartite | samāpte parvaṇi tataḥ svaśaktyā pūjayed dvijān ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले— प्रथम द्विजांकडून स्वस्तिवाचन करून घ्यावे, मग कथावाचनाचे कार्य आरंभ करावे. पर्व समाप्त झाल्यावर, आपल्या शक्तीनुसार त्या द्विजांचा पूजन-सत्कार करावा.
