भीष्म उवाच इत्युक्त: कृतवान् सर्व यथा शक्र: पुरोधसा । तथा त्वमपि कौन्तेय सम्यगेतत् समाचर,भीष्मजी कहते हैं--कुन्तीनन्दन! अपने पुरोहित बृहस्पतिके ऐसा कहनेपर इन्द्रने सब कुछ उसी तरह किया। इसी प्रकार तुम भी इस सान्त्वनापूर्ण वचनको भलीभाँति आचरणमें लाओ
bhīṣma uvāca | ity uktaḥ kṛtavān sarvaṃ yathā śakraḥ purodhasā | tathā tvam api kaunteya samyag etat samācara ||
भीष्म म्हणाला—पुरोहिताने असे सांगितल्यावर शक्र (इंद्र) ने सर्व काही नेमके तसेच केले. हे कौन्तेय! तूही त्याचप्रमाणे या सान्त्वनायुक्त उपदेशाचे योग्य रीतीने आचरण कर.
