Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)

कृते कर्मणि राजेन्द्र पूजयेद् धनसंचयै: । दानेन च यथार्हेण सान्त्वेन विविधेन च,राजेन्द्र! जब कोई अभीष्ट कार्य पूरा हो जाय तो उसमें सहयोग करनेवालोंका बहुत-से धन, यथायोग्य पुरस्कार तथा नाना प्रकारके सान्त्वनापूर्ण मधुर वचनके द्वारा सत्कार करना चाहिये
Transliteration
kṛte karmaṇi rājendra pūjayed dhana-saṃcayaiḥ | dānena ca yathārheṇa sāntvena vividhena ca ||
Translation
भीष्म म्हणाले—राजेंद्र! जेव्हा एखादे अभिष्ट कार्य यशस्वीरीत्या पूर्ण होते, तेव्हा त्यात सहाय्य करणाऱ्यांचा पुष्कळ धनाने, यथायोग्य दान-पुरस्काराने आणि विविध प्रकारच्या सान्त्वनयुक्त मधुर वचनांनी सत्कार करावा.
