अध्यायानां सहस्नरेण काव्य: संक्षेपमब्रवीत् । तच्छास्त्रममितप्रज्ञो योगाचार्यो महायशा:
adhyāyānāṁ sahasreṇa kāvyaḥ saṁkṣepam abravīt | tacchāstram amitaprajño yogācāryo mahāyaśā ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—त्यानंतर महायशस्वी, योगाचार्य आणि अमितप्रज्ञ शुक्राचार्यांनी त्या शास्त्राचा संक्षेप मांडला व तो एक हजार अध्यायांत संकलित केला.
