देशजातिकुलानां च जानीषे धर्मलक्षणम्‌ | वेदोक्तो यश्च शिष्टोक्त: सदैव विदितस्तव

Transliteration

deśa-jāti-kulānāṃ ca jānīṣe dharma-lakṣaṇam | vedokto yaś ca śiṣṭoktaḥ sadaiva viditas tava ||

Translation

वैशंपायन म्हणाले—देश, जाति आणि कुल यांनुसार धर्माची जी लक्षणे आहेत ती तुम्हाला उत्तम प्रकारे ज्ञात आहेत. वेदांनी सांगितलेला आणि शिष्ट व विद्वानांनी मान्य केलेला धर्मही तुम्हाला सदैवपासूनच विदित आहे.
