The verse highlights devotional memory and reverence: a prior vision of the Divine becomes the cause for renewed seeking. Sacred places are valued because they are associated with the Lord’s presence and worship, encouraging humility and persistent spiritual aspiration.
Bhīṣma addresses a divine figure, recalling that he once had a vision of the Lord in Brahmā’s realm (Vairāja-sadana). Motivated by that earlier encounter, he has now come to a particular mountain sanctified by the Lord’s worship/foot-service, hoping to see the Lord again.
