अथ चिन्तयतस्तस्य कर्णाभ्यां पुरुष: स्मृत: । प्रजासर्गकरो ब्रह्मा तमुवाच जगत्पति:
atha cintayatastasya karṇābhyāṃ puruṣaḥ smṛtaḥ | prajāsargakaro brahmā tamuvāca jagatpatiḥ ||
तो ते चिंतनात मग्न असता, जणू त्यांच्या दोन्ही कानांतून स्मरणरूप एक पुरुष प्रकट झाला. तो प्रजासृष्टी करणारा ब्रह्मा होता; मग जगत्पतीने त्याला संबोधिले.
