नूनं पुरैतद् विदितं युवयोर्भावितात्मनो: । पुत्राश्न पितरश्वैव परस्परमपूजयन्
nūnaṃ puraitad viditaṃ yuvayor bhāvitātmanoḥ | putrāś ca pitaras caiva parasparam apūjayan |
पुत्र आणि पिता परस्पर एकमेकांचे पूजन करतात—ही गोष्ट तुम्हा दोघा भावितात्म्यांना निश्चयच पूर्वीपासून विदित असावी.
नारद उवाच
Dharma in family life is reciprocal: not only should sons honor fathers, but fathers too should honor sons appropriately. Mutual reverence sustains harmony and reflects a purified, disciplined mind.
Narada addresses two listeners and remarks that, given their cultivated understanding, they must already know this traditional principle: fathers and sons once maintained mutual honor and worshipful respect toward each other.
