सर्वे वेदविदो मुख्या नैमिषारण्यवासिन: । शौनकस्य महासत्र प्राप्ता: सर्वे द्विजोत्तमा:
sarve vedavido mukhyā naimiṣāraṇyavāsinaḥ | śaunakasyā mahāsatraṃ prāptāḥ sarve dvijottamāḥ ||
नैमिषारण्यात वास करणारे वेदवेत्त्यांतील प्रमुख सर्व ऋषी—आणि सर्व श्रेष्ठ द्विज—शौनकाच्या या महासत्रात येऊन जमले आहेत.
भीष्म उवाच
