नावर्तते व्रतं स्वप्ने शुक्रमोक्षे कथंचन । आज्यहोम: समिद्धे्ग्नौ प्रायक्षित्तं विधीयते

Transliteration

na āvartate vrataṁ svapne śukramokṣe kathaṁcana | ājyahomaḥ samiddhe 'gnau prāyaścittaṁ vidhīyate ||

Translation

स्वप्नात जर कोणत्याही कारणाने वीर्यस्खलन झाले, तरी त्याने ब्रह्मचर्यव्रत कधीही भंग होत नाही; म्हणून व्रत पुन्हा घेणे किंवा उपनयन-संस्कार परत करणे आवश्यक नाही. यासाठी प्रायश्चित्त सांगितले आहे—प्रज्वलित अग्नीत तुपाचे हवन करणे.
