Sincere, abundant sacred offering and the resulting spiritual ‘radiance’ (tejas) please the deity; divine pleasure is portrayed as a cause for elevated post-mortem destiny—here, being led from the earthly realm to Brahmaloka—linking ethical-religious action with higher spiritual outcomes.
Bhīṣma explains that a deity has been gratified by a continuous stream of offerings associated with Vasu and has been strengthened by the generated tejas; pleased with this act, the deity is said to guide the beneficiary from earth to Brahmā’s world.
