देवो<स्माभिरनन दृष्ट: स कथं त्वं द्रष्टमहसि । “बृहस्पते! इस प्रकार हमने बड़ी भारी तपस्या की
devo ’smābhir ananadṛṣṭaḥ sa kathaṁ tvaṁ draṣṭum arhasi |
देव म्हणाले— “आम्ही स्वतः त्या देवाचे दर्शन करू शकलो नाही; मग तू कसा काय त्यांना पाहण्यास योग्य आहेस? आम्ही महान तपश्चर्या केली, हव्य-कव्यांनी भगवंताची पूजा केली, तरीही आम्हाला त्यांचे दर्शन झाले नाही—मग हे बृहस्पते! तू विनायास त्यांचे साक्षात् दर्शन कसे प्राप्त करशील?”
