न किंचिदपि पश्यामो हतचक्षुर्बलेन्द्रिया: । “भगवान्के उस अनिर्वचनीय तेजने हमारे चित्तको सहसा खींच लिया था; परंतु हमारे नेत्र, बल और इन्द्रियाँ प्रतिहत हो गयी थीं, इसलिये हम स्पष्ट रूपसे कुछ देख नहीं पाते थे
na kiñcid api paśyāmo hata-cakṣur balendriyāḥ |
भीष्म म्हणाले—आम्हाला काहीच दिसत नव्हते. आमचे डोळे जणू आघाताने अंध झाले होते; आमचे बळ आणि इंद्रियेही दडपली गेली होती. त्या भगवंताच्या अनिर्वचनीय तेजाने आमचे चित्त सहसा आपल्या कडे ओढून घेतले; पण नेत्र, बळ व इंद्रिये प्रतिहत झाल्यामुळे आम्ही काहीही स्पष्ट पाहू शकलो नाही.
