भीष्म उवाच
The passage frames spiritual ascent as the natural culmination of a life rooted in dharma: the dharmātmā (righteous-souled) experiences auspicious, purified realms, symbolized by the celestial Mandākinī and blossoming groves.
Bhīṣma narrates that Śuka, while journeying to the higher worlds, beholds a beautiful landscape of flowering forests and the Mandākinī (heavenly Gaṅgā), marking his upward passage and the sanctity of his destination.
