न भ्राजते यथापूर्व निषादानामिवालय: । देवर्षिगणजुष्टो5पि वेदध्वनिनिराकृत:

Transliteration

na bhrājate yathāpūrva niṣādānām ivālayaḥ | devarṣigaṇajuṣṭo 'pi vedadhvaninirākṛtaḥ ||

Translation

भीष्म म्हणाले—“हे स्थान आता पूर्वीसारखे उजळत नाही; ते जणू निषादांचे निवासस्थानच भासते. देवर्षिगणांनी सेविले तरी वेदध्वनी नसल्याने याची शोभा मावळली आहे.”
