कर्णनासावनमनं दन्तदृष्टिविरागिता
karṇanāsāvanamanaṃ dantadṛṣṭivirāgitā
याज्ञवल्क्य म्हणाले—कान-नाकासह मस्तक किंचित् झुकलेले असणे, आणि दात व दृष्टीवर वैराग्ययुक्त संयम—ही विनय, दम आणि इंद्रियनिग्रहाची बाह्य चिन्हे आहेत।
याज्ञवल्क्य उवाच
True discipline shows in bodily and sensory restraint: a modest, lowered posture and a detached, controlled gaze and expression indicate humility and mastery over impulses.
