This line is a colophon marking the close of a chapter and identifying its setting: the Mokṣadharma portion of the Śānti Parva, framed as a dialogue between the sage Yājñavalkya and King Janaka—signaling that the chapter’s concern is liberation-oriented dharma (mokṣa) taught through philosophical instruction.
The text is concluding the 312th chapter of the Śānti Parva. It formally states that the chapter belongs to the Mokṣadharma section and that its content is presented as the Yājñavalkya–Janaka conversation; it functions as an editorial closure rather than a spoken verse of argument.
