Aśmagīta: Janaka’s Inquiry on Loss, Kāla, and the Limits of Control (अश्मगीता)

न दृष्टपूर्व प्रत्यक्ष परलोकं विदुर्बुधा: । आगरमांस्त्वनतिक्रम्य श्रद्धातव्यं बुभूषता

na dṛṣṭapūrvaṃ pratyakṣaṃ paralokaṃ vidur budhāḥ | āgamāṃs tv anatikramya śraddhātavyaṃ bubhūṣatā ||

जनक म्हणाला—ज्ञानी पुरुष जाणतात की परलोक न प्रत्यक्ष दिसतो, न पूर्वी पाहिलेला आहे. तरीही जो आपले परम कल्याण इच्छितो, त्याने शास्त्राज्ञा न मोडता त्यांच्या वचनांवर श्रद्धा ठेवावी.
