उपद्रवांस्तथा रोगान्‌ हितजीर्णमिताशनात्‌ । लोभ मोहं च संतोषाद्‌ विषयांस्तत्त्वदर्शनात्‌,शारीरिक उपद्रवों तथा रोगोंका हितकर, सुपाच्य और परिमित आहारसे, लोभ और मोहका संतोषसे तथा विषयोंका तात्त्विक दृष्टिसे निवारण करे

bhīṣma uvāca | upadravāṁs tathā rogān hitajīrṇamitāśanāt | lobha-mohaṁ ca santoṣād viṣayāṁs tattva-darśanāt |

भीष्म म्हणाले—हितकर, सुपाच्य वीट व परिमित आहाराने देहातील उपद्रव व रोग दूर करावेत. संतोषाने लोभ व मोह जिंकावा आणि विषयांचे तत्त्व जाणून त्यांच्या आसक्तीवर संयम ठेवावा.
