नाक्रोशमृच्छेन्न वृथा वदेच्च न पैशुनं जनवादं च कुर्यात्‌ । सत्यव्रतो मितभाषो5प्रमत्त- स्तथास्य वाग्द्वारमथो सुगुप्तम्‌

Transliteration

nākrośam ṛcchen na vṛthā vadec ca na paiśunaṃ janavādaṃ ca kuryāt | satyavrato mitabhāṣo ’pramattaḥ tathāsya vāg-dvāram atho suguptham ||

Translation

कपिल म्हणतात—कोणालाही शिवीगाळ करू नये, उगीच बोलू नये, चुगली किंवा लोकनिंदा करू नये. सत्यव्रती राहावे, मितभाषी राहावे आणि सदैव सावध राहावे; असे केल्याने वाणीचे द्वार उत्तम रीतीने रक्षित होते.
