मोक्षोपाय-निर्णयः
Determination of the Means to Liberation
दस्यून् निहन्ति वै राजा भूयसो वाप्यनागस: । भार्या माता पिता पुत्रो हन्यन्ते पुरुषेण ते । परेणापकृतो राजा तस्मात् सम्यक् प्रधारयेत्
dasyūn nihanti vai rājā bhūyaso vāpy anāgasaḥ | bhāryā mātā pitā putro hanyante puruṣeṇa te | pareṇāpakṛto rājā tasmāt samyak pradhārayet ||
द्यूमत्सेन म्हणाला—राजा दरोडेखोरांना मारतो; कधी कधी अनेक निरपराधांनाही. एखादा पुरुष मारला गेला तर त्याची पत्नी, आई-वडील आणि पुत्रही जणू मारले जातात, कारण त्यांच्या उपजीविकेचा आधार तुटतो. म्हणून दुसऱ्याच्या अपकाराने चिथावलेला असला तरी राजाने सम्यक् विचार करावा; प्राणदंड देण्यात घाई करू नये.
