ततः पित्रा चिरं स्तुत्वा चिरं चाप्राय मूर्थनि । चिरं दोर्भ्या परिष्वज्य चिरं जीवेत्युदाह्यत:,तब पिताने चिरकालतक उसकी प्रशंसा करके देरतक उसका मस्तक सूँघा और चिरकालतक दोनों भुजाओंसे खींचकर उसे हृदयसे लगाये रखा और आशीर्वाद देते हुए कहा--“बेटा! चिरंजीवी हो”
tataḥ pitrā ciraṁ stutvā ciraṁ cāprāya mūrdhani | ciraṁ dorbhyā pariṣvajya ciraṁ jīvety udāhṛtaḥ ||
मग पित्याने दीर्घकाळ त्याची स्तुती केली; स्नेहाने वारंवार त्याचे मस्तक सूंघले; दोन्ही भुजांनी त्याला दीर्घकाळ घट्ट मिठीत घेऊन हृदयाशी धरले आणि आशीर्वाद दिला—“बाळा, चिरंजीवी हो.”
