आहुर्वे बहुपादानि जड़मानि द्वयानि तु । बहुपाद्धयो विशिष्टानि द्विपदानि बहून्यपि

Transliteration

āhur vai bahupādāni jaḍāni dvayāni tu | bahupādhyāḥ viśiṣṭāni dvipadāni bahūny api ||

Translation

ते म्हणतात की बहुपाद प्राणी जड असतात आणि द्विपादही (काही ठिकाणी) तसेच असतात. तरीही बहुपादांतही काही श्रेष्ठ असतात, आणि द्विपादांतही अनेक भेद व स्तर आहेत.
