Yoga-kṛtya (योककृत्य) — Vyāsa on Sense-Restraint, Obstacles, and Brahman-Realization

एते सप्तविधात्मानो नानावीर्या: पृथक्‌ पृथक्‌ । नाशवनुवन्‌ प्रजा: स्रष्टमसमागम्य कृत्स्नश:,ये नाना प्रकारकी शक्तिवाले महत्तत््व, मन (अहंकार) और पज्चसूक्ष्म महाभूत--सात पदार्थ पृथक्‌ू-पृथक्‌ रहकर जबतक सब-के-सब मिल न सकें; तबतक उनमें प्रजाकी सृष्टि करनेकी शक्ति नहीं आयी

ete saptavidhātmāno nānā-vīryāḥ pṛthak pṛthak | nāśuvan prajāḥ sraṣṭum asamāgamya kṛtsnaśaḥ ||

व्यास म्हणाले—महत्तत्त्व, अहंकार, मन आणि पाच सूक्ष्म महाभूत—हे सात तत्त्वे विविध सामर्थ्याची असूनही वेगवेगळीच होती. जोपर्यंत ती सर्व पूर्णपणे एकत्र आली नाहीत, तोपर्यंत प्रजासृष्टी करण्यास समर्थ नव्हती.
