साहं वै पड़कजे जाता सूर्यरश्मिविबोधिते । भूत्यर्थ सर्वभूतानां पद्मा श्री: पच्ममालिनी
śakra uvāca | sāhaṃ vai paṅkaje jātā sūryaraśmivibodhitē | bhūtyarthaṃ sarvabhūtānāṃ padmā śrīḥ padmamālinī ||
शक्र म्हणाला— सूर्यकिरणांनी उमललेल्या कमळातून मी प्रकट झाले आहे. सर्व प्राण्यांच्या कल्याण व समृद्धीसाठी माझा आविर्भाव झाला; माझी नावे पद्मा, श्री आणि पद्ममालिनी आहेत.
