यदेवमनुजातस्य धातारो विदधु: पुरा । तदेवानुचरिष्यामि किं मे मृत्यु: करिष्यति
yad evam anujātasya dhātāro vidadhuḥ purā | tad evānucariṣyāmi kiṁ me mṛtyuḥ kariṣyati ||
भीष्म म्हणाले— जन्माच्या आरंभी विधात्यांनी माझ्यासाठी जे विधान ठरविले, जन्मापासून मी त्याचाच अनुक्रम करीत आलो आहे आणि पुढेही करीन. मग मृत्यू माझे काय करील?
