Śrī–Indra–Bali Saṃvāda: The Departure and Fourfold Placement of Lakṣmī

विनाशिनो हाध्रुवजीवितस्य कि बन्धुभिभभिन्नपरिग्रहै श्व । विहाय यो गच्छति सर्वमेव क्षणेन गत्वा न निवर्तते च

vināśino hādhruva-jīvitasya kiṁ bandhubhir bhinna-parigrahaiḥ śvaḥ | vihāya yo gacchati sarvam eva kṣaṇena gatvā na nivartate ca ||

भीष्म म्हणाले—अरे! ज्याचे जीवन नश्वर आहे आणि ज्याच्या आयुष्याचा भरवसा नाही, त्याला विखुरलेल्या व अस्थिर परिग्रहांमध्ये आणि नातलगांमध्ये काय खरे लाभ? हे जाणून जो मनुष्य क्षणात वैराग्याने सर्व काही त्यागून निघून जातो, तो पुढे गेल्यावर पुन्हा (संसारात) परत येत नाही.
