- जैसे लोहा दाहक एवं दीप्तिमान् हो उठता है
bharadvāja uvāca | asṛjad brāhmaṇān eva pūrvaṁ brahmā prajāpātīn | ātma-tejobhinirvattān bhāskarāgni-samaprabhān ||
भारद्वाज म्हणाले—सृष्टीच्या आरंभी प्रजापती ब्रह्म्याने आपल्या तेजातूनच उत्पन्न झालेले, सूर्य व अग्नीप्रमाणे दीप्तिमान ब्राह्मण—मरीची आदि प्रजापती—प्रथम निर्माण केले।
