जनक-राज्ञः मौण्ड्य-परिव्रज्या-विवादः
Janaka’s Renunciation Questioned; Discourse on Dāna and Detachment
नैव ते5स्ति परो लोको नापर: पापकर्मण: । धर्म्यान् दारान् परित्यज्य यस्त्वमिच्छसि जीवितुम्
naiva te 'sti paro loko nāparaḥ pāpakarmaṇaḥ | dharmyān dārān parityajya yas tvam icchasi jīvitum ||
अर्जुन म्हणाला—पापकर्म करणाऱ्यासाठी ना हा लोक सुखद असतो, ना परलोक. धर्मपत्नीचा त्याग करून तुम्ही एकटे जगू इच्छिता, यामुळे तुम्ही पापकर्मा झाला आहात; म्हणून ना इहलोकी तुमचे कल्याण, ना परलोकी.
