(Nirveda-Upadeśa) — Maṅki’s Dispassion and the Limits of Wealth-Seeking
te tam ūcur mahārāja rājapreṣyās tadā dvijam | tvarasva tūrṇam āgaccha rājā tvāṁ draṣṭum icchati ||
The verse highlights the ethical seriousness of royal summons and the expectation of prompt, responsible response—especially when a learned person is called, since counsel and conduct around kingship directly affect dharma and public welfare.
Bhīṣma narrates that the king’s messengers approach a brahmin and urgently instruct him to come at once because the king wants to meet him.
