अथ निश्चित्य मनसा शाल्मलिवातकारितम्‌

atha niścitya manasā śālmalivātakāritam

भीष्म म्हणाले—“मग मनात दृढ निश्चय करून तो शाल्मली-वृक्षाच्या वाऱ्याने घडविलेल्या प्रेरणेप्रमाणे वागू लागला—म्हणजे त्या अचानक, प्रचंड आवेगाने सूचित केलेला मार्ग त्याने स्वीकारला।”
